Tripoli, Libya, 08/02 - Libyan leader Moammar Kadhafi and African Union (AU) Commission chairperson Alpha Omar Konare have held talks here centred on the decisions of the 7th AU ordinary summit held early July in Banjul, the Gambia.
The two men also reviewed decisions relative to the completion of the implementation of the institutions of the continental organisation.
According to an official source, the chairperson of the AU Commission reaffirmed his high consideration of the Libyan leader for his role in favour of the support to AU mechanisms.
Konare highlighted, during his audience Monday with Colonel Kadhafi that the AU processes will reach their objective with the establishment of the United States of Africa.
Meanwhile, Konare on Monday took part in the first meeting of ministers of defence of the northern region of Africa for the creation of regional capacities for the future African force, one of the components coming under the purview of the AU Peace and Security Council.
