Tamsir Jallow, The Gambia's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom predicted a lanslide victory for President Yahya Jammeh in the forthcoming Presidental elections.
Speaking at the anniversary celebration of the 12th July 22 Revolution as the Guest of Honour on the invitation of the APRC Youth Wing Paris branch on Saturday July 29, High Commissioner Jallow expressed optimism that come September elections, President Jammeh will be re-elected into office.
Mr Tamsir Jallow took the gathering on a memory lane, and then reminded them of the meaning of an acronym APRC - Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction which, he said, means that all Gambians must come together as patriotic citizens to develop the country.
High Commissioner Jallow also urged Gambians, and the APRC Youth Wing Paris Branch, to go all out to sensitise Gambians living in the diaspora on the APRC's vision and manifesto.
According to him, President Jammeh will surely win by a landslide victory in the forthcoming Presidential elections.
The President of the APRC Youth Wing Paris Branch, Mr Malaim Biyai among several other speakers renewed their commitments to the APRC and its leader President, Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh.
For his part, the Charge D' Affaires of the Gambian Embassy in France, Mr Moses Benjamin Jallow, reminded the gathering that the purpose of the meeting was meant to give thanks to the Almighty Allah for President Jammeh's twelve-year-rule which, he noted, has brought remarkable progress to the Gambian people.
He also seized the opportunity to brief Gambians on the success of the just ended Banjul AU Summit.
Charge D' Affaires Jallow called on all Gambians in France to give their unflinching support to President Jammeh in the forthcoming Presidential elections, slated for 22nd September 2006.
